Download: Man of The World - Fleetwood Mac (mp3)

These days one doesn't usually associate Fleetwood Mac with mopey existential angst but way back when they were led by troubled acid casualty/genius guitarist Peter Green they produced this achingly sad and lonely gem which it isn't too difficult to imagine Morrissey singing (I have a lot of songs like that here), especially the line: "there's no one I'd rather be, but I just wish that I'd never been born"

Don't worry, you're doing us all a great service!

Man of the World is a great tune - this, along with Oh Well makes you wonder how the same named group can sound so different. Was it only Mick Fleetwood that was common to both Macs?

Oh Jason King. What a hero. His face tells it all. By the look of it, I suspect his photographer boyfriend Derek is just below shot! The birds are clearly in on the irony.

I suspect he only wanted a light and a cup of Complan.
