I searched over 20 years for Be Bop Deluxe’s Teenage Archangel single. Finally found it on the internet about 10 years ago and paid £40 for it. This was after my old turntable had died so I didn’t even have anything to play it on. Had to take it to a friends house to play it.
Agree with all the above comments about that amazing picture.
Hate to confess that I have never heard of this single nor the band. Must be a "born/raised in the U.S. kind of thing." As for the outfit, well it is rather loud, but nothing screams "Look at me!" like a strategically placed tongue (pointing down South no less)...wow.
Born in the USA but a fan of Be Bop Deluxe nevertheless. Saw them live on a couple of occasions. Sunburst Finish and Drastic Plastic were the LPs to get. (The two record set compilation had some unreleased material worthwhile too, e.g. Speed of the Wind.) And he was a great guitar player to boot. But, being the true shaman he was, Bill sort of chucked it all and did something else entirely, much more esoteric. Many of us lost track of him.
Poor old Bill Nelson, made some great music with Be Bop Deluxe, lived the rock star lifetyle then got ripped of by his manager or accountant and lost it all. He still lives in Yorkshire, making twiddly electronic music. I got his plectrum when he threw it into the crowd after a concert at Leeds University.
The sentimental musings of an ageing British expat in words, music, and pictures. Files are only up for a limited time so drink them while they're hot.

Is that The Royal Crescent in Bath?
That Georgian architectural masterpiece encapsulates British finery between 68 and 75.
(Er .. that's 1768 and 1775!)
Looks like London to me, parts of Notting Hill look like that.
This street?
