"Ding Dong!" doesn't work in real life though. Take in from one of the few people stupid enough to try.
I taught my nephew to say 'Ding Dong' in the Leslie Phillips / Terry-Thomas style when he was about three and my sister got VERY cross with me.
Well he could have said "nice baps" so it could have been worse.
